Our Teachers

Mrs. Villanueva

Mrs. Villanueva is a high school language arts teacher at Bowman High School in Santa Clarita, CA. She has a single-subject teaching credential in English and a Master’s Degree in Education. Mrs. Villanueva has been teaching for 5 years and absolutely loves what she does; she enjoys creating and planning fun and creative curriculum lessons for her “at-risk” high school students.

Ms. Grimes

Rachel Grimes is a fifth grade teacher who has a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and double minors in Math and Science. She is currently pursuing her Masters of Education Degree in Teaching and Learning. Miss Grimes has taught fifth grade for two years, kindergarten for a year, and kindergarten through sixth grade in a one room school house setting. Living in Salmon, Idaho Miss Grimes enjoys outdoor life, her five year old daughter, and teaching her fifth graders in new, exciting, hands-on ways!

Mr. Applegate

Mr. Applegate has taught in the Piscataway Township School District for ten years. He has taught on the second and third grade levels. His expertise is in mathematics and he uses his knowledge of the subject to create exciting and meaningful lessons for his students. He graduated from The College of New Jersey (Trenton State College) in 1996 with a degree in Elementary Education and Mathematics. He is an active member on the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics He has also participated in curriculum writing committees for the Piscataway School District.

Ms. Thau

Ms. Thau is an accomplished educator at Glenwood School in Short Hills, NJ. She earned a Master’s degree in Education with a concentration in Reading and Special Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary/Special Education from Saint Joseph’s University. She is certified as an elementary education, special education, and reading specialist. She currently teaches first grade at Glenwood School and participates in curriculum writing for the Millburn Township School District.

Ms. Kaspin

Ms. Kaspin is an accomplished teacher at South Mountain School, Millburn, NJ. She has a Master of Arts degree in Teaching from the Montclair State University, Montclair, NJ and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism/Communications from the Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ. She is a member of the Lambda Pi Eta honors society. She has taught at Warren Point Elementary School, Oak Street Elementary School, Eastampton Elementary School, and Eastampton prior to her current work at South Mountain School.

Mr. Campanella

Mr. Campanella currently teaches math in Hamilton Township, NJ. He is a member of the Chesterfield Township Board of Education and is a consultant for the NJ Coalition for Financial Education. He has a Master’s degree in Business Administration. He is also a seasoned mathematics tutor.

Ms. Wecks

Ms. Wecks is a teacher and writer from Northern California. She has taught for 5 years in San Francisco Bay Area schools. She graduated from UC Davis with a Bachelor’s Degree and has a Masters Degree in Education from California State University East Bay. She has experience teaching in all elementary levels and in special education.

Ms. Brummitt-Yale

Ms. Brummitt-Yale is a certified teacher (BA in English and a M.Ed. in Middle Grades Language Arts) and has 10 years experience in public school education in North Carolina. She now teaches developmental writing at the college level.

Mrs. Provenzano

Attended Grove City College, where she received her BS in Math and Biology.  Subsequently obtained a masters degree in Educational Technology and a two year degree in Electrical Engineering.
She has taught high school mathematics in North Carolina Public Schools. She has also tutored through the Sharon School System in Sharon, Pennsylvania.  She is passionate about using technology to help children learn and succeed.

Mr. Miller

Mr. Miller has extensive teaching experience and currently teaches Math at the Summit High School, NJ. He has a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and Marketing from the Rider University, NJ. He has taught at Clifton, Washington Academy prior to his teaching assignment at the Northern Valley Regional School District.

Mr. Cullen

Mr. Cullen has 11 years of teaching experience. He has taught both Social Studies and Language Arts. He also has a successful track record for tutoring students to excel in the SAT, AP, HSPA, GEPA and NJ ASK tests.

Ms. Bradfield

Ms. Bradfield is a special education teacher with over 12 years experience. She has a Master’s Degree in Special Education along with a Supervisor Certificate. She has taught in both private and public schools throughout New Jersey. She currently teaches at Bound Brook, NJ. She has taught at Newark, Chester, Chatham, and Randolph schools prior to her current teaching assignment.

Mr. Roemmele

Mr. Roemmele loves teaching and has over 11 years of teaching experience and currently teaches in the Parsippany-Troy Hills School District. He received a Master’s in Science Education from the Kean University and a Bachelors degree in Earth Sciences from the Franklin and Marshall College, NJ.

Mrs. Adams

Mrs. Adams has is a certified teacher and has both teaching and administrative experience at all levels of education. As a teacher and an administrator, she served as a curriculum writer and assessor. She has a Bachelors degree in Education from Texas A&M University and a Masters degree in Educational Administration and Human Resource Development from the University of Houston. Currently, she is completing her Ph.D. in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University.
